Service Description
This is a 1:1 session to go over new product development process and the stages you will experience. 1. Refine Recipe for Scale-Up Objective: Optimize the recipe for larger production volumes. Key Actions: Define Technology needed for manufacturing or scope contract manufacturing. Adjust ingredient proportions to maintain consistency at scale. Evaluate cost-effectiveness without compromising quality. Test small batches using pilot-scale equipment to mimic industrial conditions. 2. Develop Packaging and Labeling Objective: Design consumer-friendly and compliant packaging. Key Actions: Choose materials that protect product integrity (e.g., resealable bags, moisture-proof pouches). Create designs that align with brand identity and attract buyers. Ensure labels meet regulatory requirements (e.g., nutritional facts, allergen declarations). Conduct Pilot Plant Trials Objective: Test and refine production processes on pilot-scale equipment. Key Actions: Simulate blending/mixing/cooking/drying processes at scaled-down volumes. Identify and resolve potential bottlenecks in production. Gather data to standardize process parameters for full-scale manufacturing. Output: Developed a product and process specification benchmark to use for mass production. This session is best accompanied by our product development guide which also lists key questions you need to answer in order to determine how ready you are to commercialize your food product/recipe, where in the process you are and Identify high risk gaps you may have that need to be addressed.
